Founded in 1954 with just two employees, 65 years later Ergon is now a vast global company with over 3,000 employees. From oil and gas refining to transportation, real estate, and terminaling, Ergon now operates facilities in dozens of U.S. states and countries abroad including Asia, Europe, and Central and South America.
Ergon approached Mad Genius to assist them with the development and roll-out of Target Zero — a corporate-wide initiative emphasizing the health and safety of its employees. With an overall aim of raising awareness about the importance of workplace safety, and encouraging employees and site visitors to Ergon’s facilities to mindfully practice safety measures, Mad Genius was tasked with developing robust messaging, imagery, and a variety of deliverables to support the initiative, ranging from large workplace banners to point-of-hazard signage throughout their facilities.
The end result: A bold, global safety campaign with “Zero Accidents”, “Zero Excuses”, “Zero Spills”, “Zero Regrets”, “Zero Mishaps” as the ever-present focus.
