About Rob Bridges

The seat of power hurts one’s lower back.

As our intrepid CEO, Rob’s chief responsibilities include rubbing his temples, setting his glasses down on his desk so he can put his head in his hands, and drinking. He also spends a lot of time rewarding his employees with a lovely, home-cooked, Cajun meal.

Q&A

  • Who is your favorite real-life genius? Why?

Es Devlin. As creatives, we're constrained by our discipline. Writers write. Illustrators draw or paint. Musicians make soundscapes and melodies. Es combines light, music, and language in ways I've never seen before. She sculpts experiences on the biggest stages in the world. They're simply unbelievable.

  • What are you looking forward to most about working at Mad Genius?

When we founded Mad Genius, the goals were simple: Do great work and have fun. Both goals deliver instant gratification but never closure. Of course, it’s thrilling to do great work. It’s wonderful to laugh and make memories with people you care about. But what’s more exciting is knowing your best work lies ahead. And there’s always a practical joke around the corner.

  • When you’re not working, you’re most likely…

On the rare occasions when I genuinely unplug and turn off the “branding” brain, I can be found in other creative outlets. I love to cook. I love to draw. I love to read. I love to play music loud. (I’m losing my hearing.) And generally speaking, I love to do all these things with a fine glass of whiskey and surrounded by my family.
