As VP of Accounts, Eric is responsible for ensuring our clients are happy. That involves a lot of communicating with them via phone, email, in-person meeting, or carrier pigeon, oftentimes using words that you’ve read on LinkedIn, but have never actually heard someone say.

Q&A

What is your hometown, and what’s the best thing about it?
Kansas City, Missouri. Yes, there are two different, but connected Kansas Cities. I grew up on the Missouri side. I always tell people the best thing about it is it's big enough to see and do almost anything you'd expect in a big city, but it still has a "small city" mindset. People still give you the right of way and welcome you with open arms.
Who is your favorite real-life genius? Why?
Tolkien. Hands down. It's quite rare for a mind to be capable of his level of academic achievement, deep scholarship (he spoke 12 languages, several dead ones, and created several new ones), expansive imagination, artistic mastery, and prolific output. “It's the job that's never started as takes longest to finish.”
What are you looking forward to most about working at Mad Genius?
The inevitable moments of unveiling the unexpected, disruptive, and strategically brilliant ideas to clients who can only sit stunned for a moment. And seeing their smile emerge as they realize they're looking at their roadmap to winning in their markets. That's the sweet sauce.
