Mad Genius Creative Agency to Shut Down Immediately
Effective immediately, Mad Genius will cease all operations… Kind of.
We’ve had a wonderful time with this whole “advertising” thing. But it’s time to make a change and focus on what we’re truly passionate about: black box theater interpretive dance. To all our existing clients, we say thank you and adieu. To be clear, we are not closing. We are staying open, but will no longer be making ads and websites. We’re just going to dance until the money runs out.
The sound stage that was once filled with camera equipment and lighting rigs is now a dance studio. Our first show is this Friday, and we really need it to be financially viable. Please, please, please attend. I swear we worked really, really hard on it. Our shirts may not completely cover our bellies when we raise our arms over our heads, but Rome wasn’t built in a day. The Mad Genius staff is not just tolerant of the change, but enthusiastically jeté-ing towards this bold, new direction.
Another thing to note, and we’re being really vulnerable here, is that we’re not good at dancing. We’re still really new at this, but we have put all our eggs in this basket and there’s no turning back. Like the great interpretive dancer, Martha Graham, said, “Great dancers are not great because of their technique, but because of their passion.”
While you have come to expect greatness from the existing array of services, like web development, graphic design, and commercial production, you can now look forward to maximum effort in our new offerings:
- Wedding performances
- Flash mob for hire
- Bar mitzvah performances
- Halftime shows
- Funeral performances
Tickets to our debut performance are five dollars, but a donation of $1,000 is strongly encouraged.
