Executive Officers
Rick Moore - President & CEO
Entrepreneur, visionary, cultural-creative, Rick grew up in a television family, his father having built and managed television stations in a number of states including one of the major stations in Jackson, Mississippi. At the age of 16, Rick began working in the business and went on to learn all aspects of film production. After ten years of industry experience, he branched out on his own, setting the stage for what was to come next. In 1997, Rick gathered together both strategic partners and trend-setting industry talent and launched Eyevox Film and Video. After two decades of award-winning film production, he went on to launch two other companies—The Screen Engine animation studios (Tampa, Florida) and Mad Genius (Ridgeland, Mississippi).
Chip Sarver - Chief Operating Officer
Chip has over 21 years of experience in managing advertising accounts, and nearly eight years of experience in direct creative and media production. He brings a highly seasoned business development approach to the unique needs and challenges of clients as well as strategic creative and media experience. Chip has served as Mississippi State Director and Sponsorship Coordinator for the American Advertising Federation's 7th District, as President of the Jackson Advertising Federation and as President of Business Network International. He has worked in account management and production for WJTV (CBS Jackson), Eyevox Film and Video, WMDN (CBS Meridian), WGBC (NBC Meridian) and WLOX (ABC Biloxi), and provided freelance services for HBO, ESPN, FOX Sports and FOX Sports Net. He is one of the founding partners of Mad Genius, and is President of the Ridgeland Chamber of Commerce.
Billy Tinsley - Chief Financial Officer
Billy has two decades of experience in finance account management, in a variety of industries, including technology, advertising and insurance. He has worked with such esteemed companies as General Dynamics, Bell Helicopter, Standard Life and Lamar Life Insurance Company.
Senior Leadership
Rob Bridges - Client Services Director
Rob has nearly 20 years of ad agency experience, serving as Creative Director and Key Account Coordinator. He has worked on local, regional and national accounts including the family of Southern Farm Bureau Insurance companies, Louisiana Tourism, Proctor & Gamble and CHRISTUS Health. He has been named Advertiser of the Year and Designer of the Year consecutively by the Louisiana Advertising Federation. He has received multiple Best of Show recognitions and has been published in Print magazine. Rob is one of the founding partners of Mad Genius.
John Gibson - Production Director
After film school at the University of Texas at Austin, a job in L.A. promoting foreign films, and a stint as a freelance TV/film location manager, John returned to his hometown of Jackson. There he worked for the Mississippi Film Office before co-founding Gibson Creative, where he wrote and produced corporate-industrial videos, commercials, documentaries, as well as several projects for Mississippi Public Broadcasting, including the nationally-syndicated series Right from Birth. John joined us in 2007, just in time to serve as a producer for the PBS children's series Lomax: The Hound of Music.
Eric Hughes - Creative Director
Eric is a master at brand/product strategy exploration, web and design team management and marketing vision execution. He has provided creative and strategic work on behalf of such national brands as Blockbuster Entertainment, McDonald's, Wal-Mart, McAlister's Deli, Medtronic, Fulmer Helmets and Valent USA, and for such regional and local clients as BancorpSouth, Soulshine Pizza and Partnership for a Healthy Mississippi. Eric has nearly 20 years of experience managing accounts in the creative industry.
Beth Kander - Community Outreach Director
Beth brings an extensive arts, education and non-profit background to the Mad Genius team. Her undergraduate degree is from Brandeis University, and she holds an MSW from the University of Michigan, where her concentration was Management of Human Resources. Beth has worked in a variety of settings, including schools, theaters, domestic violence shelters, and museums, most recently serving as Director of Programming at the Goldring/Woldenberg Institute. At Mad Genius, Beth coordinates outreach and initiatives, such as Imagination Education (www.imaginationeducation.org); manages projects; and serves as a writer and member of the creative team. In 2009, Beth was named Best Jackson Writer by the Jackson Free Press. Very active in the local arts community, she occasionally appears on Jackson stages and was recently awarded a Mississippi Arts Commission Fellowship in Playwriting.
Laurie Meydrech - Media Director
Laurie oversees all media planning, media buying and management of client portfolios at Mad Genius. With a thorough working knowledge of the latest trends in print, radio, TV, online social media and outdoor, Laurie has been involved in marketing, advertising and media planning for nearly 20 years, working with such clients as Mississippi Power Company, Trustmark Bank and Mississippi Baptist Health Systems.
Chris Nolen - Art Director
Chris is a graduate of Mississippi State University's Fine Arts program (Graphic Design emphasis). With over 15 years of experience in design, illustration, animation, and creative direction, he has won numerous Gold Addy awards with the American Advertising Federation and both Best of Show and multiple Gold Addy awards with the Jackson Advertising Federation. Over the course of his career, Chris has provided strategic brand development and compelling design for a vast range of clientele, ranging from non-profits and healthcare systems to national insurance companies and financial institutions.
Rob Rubinoff - Interactive Director
Rob (aka Rube) has a vast knowledge base in interactive media architecture, design and development. Holding degrees in such varied subjects as anthropology, religion, international affairs and international business from Wheaton College (Massachusetts) and the University of Miami, Rob brings a unique, multidisciplinary mindset to bear when creating solutions for Mad Genius clients. With over a decade of interactive experience, Rob has worked on and led successful projects for Fortune 500 companies; city, state, and foreign governments; various non-profit organizations; and a bevy of small to medium sized businesses along the way. Rob currently holds the distinction of being Mississippi's only Information Architecture Institute (http://iainstitute.org) recognized Information Architect.
