Executive Officers
Rick Moore - CEO
Richard “Rick” Moore, CEO and owner of Mad Genius, started his career in production at the age of 16, working at WAPT (ABC). He spent the next decade working as a freelancer in the production business, working with media giants including MTV, ESPN, and HBO. In 1997, he founded his first company, Sights & Sounds, later called Eyevox, which became Mississippi’s largest production studio. In 2005, he established Mad Genius, a creative and advertising agency. In December 2010, Moore produced his first feature film with Eyevox Entertainment.
Rick was named the 2009 Small Business Person of the Year by the Small Business Administration of Mississippi. In 2010, Mad Genius was honored by the Mississippi Technology Alliance (Innovators Award).
In addition to his professional endeavors, Moore is a member of the advisory council for the Mississippi College School of Business, and is active at his church, Parkway Hills United Methodist. A Clinton native, Moore is a graduate of Hinds Community College and Mississippi College. He lives in Madison with his wife Connie and their two sons, Jack and Luke.
Chip Sarver - President
Chip has over 21 years of experience in managing advertising accounts, and nearly eight years of experience in direct creative and media production. He brings a highly seasoned business development approach to the unique needs and challenges of clients as well as strategic creative and media experience. Chip has served as Mississippi State Director and Sponsorship Coordinator for the American Advertising Federation's 7th District, as President of the Jackson Advertising Federation and as President of Business Network International. He has worked in account management and production for WJTV (CBS Jackson), Eyevox Film and Video, WMDN (CBS Meridian), WGBC (NBC Meridian) and WLOX (ABC Biloxi), and provided freelance services for HBO, ESPN, FOX Sports and FOX Sports Net. He is one of the founding partners of Mad Genius, and is the past President of the Ridgeland Chamber of Commerce.
Rob Bridges - Senior Vice President - Branding & Strategy
Rob has nearly 20 years of ad agency experience, serving as Creative Director and Key Account Coordinator. He has worked on local, regional and national accounts including the family of Southern Farm Bureau Insurance companies, Louisiana Tourism, Procter & Gamble and CHRISTUS Health. He has been named Advertiser of the Year and Designer of the Year consecutively by the Louisiana Advertising Federation. He has received multiple Best of Show recognitions and has been published in Print magazine. Rob is one of the founding partners of Mad Genius.
Eric Hughes - Vice President of Creative
Eric is a master at brand/product strategy exploration, web and design team management and marketing vision execution. He has provided creative and strategic work on behalf of such national brands as Blockbuster Entertainment, McDonald's, Wal-Mart, McAlister's Deli, Medtronic, Fulmer Helmets and Valent USA, and for such regional and local clients as BancorpSouth, Soulshine Pizza and Partnership for a Healthy Mississippi. Eric has nearly 20 years of experience managing accounts in the creative industry.
Senior Leadership
John Gibson - Production Director
After film school at the University of Texas at Austin, a job in L.A. promoting foreign films, and a stint as a freelance TV/film location manager, John returned to his hometown of Jackson. There he worked for the Mississippi Film Office before co-founding Gibson Creative, where he wrote and produced corporate-industrial videos, commercials, documentaries, as well as several projects for Mississippi Public Broadcasting, including the nationally-syndicated series Right from Birth. John joined us in 2007, just in time to serve as a producer for the PBS children's series Lomax: The Hound of Music.
Frank Owen - Social Media Director
Frank brings a passion for promoting and protecting brands in online space, especially brands striving to make the world a better place. As social media director, his focus is on assisting brands with becoming more relevant to their audience(s) through online engagement. Building upon his training in organizational development, psychology, and writing, his diverse career has included museum design and development, web and interactive content strategy, all with a focus on creating enriching end-user experiences.
Rob Rubinoff - Interactive Director
Rob (aka Rube) is an accomplished interactive director, information architect, and web strategist. With more than a decade of internet related experience, Rube has worked on and spearheaded successful web projects for Fortune 500 companies; city, state, and foreign governments; various non-profit organizations; and a bevy of small to medium sized businesses along the way. Rube earned his BA in Cultural Anthropology from Wheaton College and his Masters of Arts in International Studies / International Business from the University of Miami. Rube currently holds the distinction of being Mississippi's only Information Architect recognized by the Information Architecture Institute (http://iainstitute.org). A lifelong learner, Rube thrives at helping Mad Genius’ clients navigate the challenges and opportunities of the ever-changing digital landscape.
